Hackathon Rules

Essential guidelines for participation and submission

Original Work

  • All submissions must be original and created during the hackathon.
  • Use of open-source libraries, pre-trained AI models, or public datasets is permitted, but proper attribution is mandatory.

Timeframe

  • Solutions must be conceptualized, developed, and submitted within the official hackathon period.
  • Late submissions will not be considered.

Team Collaboration

  • Teams must register with the same team name throughout the event.
  • A participant cannot be part of more than one team.

Judging Transparency

  • All entries will be evaluated based on:
    • Innovation (uniqueness of the idea)
    • Feasibility (practicality of the solution)
    • Presentation clarity (how well the idea is communicated)
    • Relevance to AI theme
  • The jury’s decision will be final.

Code of Conduct

  • Respectful collaboration is expected at all times.
  • Plagiarism, offensive content, or rule violations will result in disqualification.

Mode of Submission

All submissions must include:

  • Solution Brief (1–2 pages) – describing the problem, approach, and AI tools/models used.
  • Demo Link or File – GitHub repo, app link, or prototype showcasing the MVP.
  • Presentation (5–7 slides) – visualizing the solution, workflow, and expected impact.
  • Format: PDF + supporting files/links.

Place & Deadline

Submissions must be uploaded through the official Hackathon Portal on the Vision AI India website (link to be replaced).

Opens: 10:00 AM IST, Tuesday, 30 Sept 2025

Closes: 11:00 AM IST, Saturday, 4 Oct 2025

A confirmation email will be sent to the team leader after successful submission.
